Speelfilm, performance, nostalgie, fantasie en realiteit lopen in mijn tekeningen en films dwars door elkaar heen.
Ik (her)gebruik maatschappelijke en historische onderwerpen waarin ik vaak zelf acteer. Door absurdistische ingrepen te doen lijken deze verschillende thema’s een gevecht met elkaar aan te gaan waarbij ruimte ontstaat voor een zekere romantiek. Maatschappelijke kritiek, politiek, actualiteit en historie begeven zich op een grensgebied met elkaar. Zo ontstaat een nieuwe wereld die niet meer helemaal te plaatsen is en tegelijk een helder statement probeert te zijn.
